The procedure is typically performed through a small incision just above the eyebrows. For more extensive procedures, or when combined with eyelid surgery, a general anaesthetic may be advised in a hospital setting.

Following surgery, it is normal to experience mild swelling, bruising, or temporary numbness for up to 10 days. As the healing process progresses and swelling subsides, the results become increasingly visible, revealing a naturally lifted, more open, and refreshed appearance. Full recovery usually takes around 10-14 days. However, recovery times vary from patient to patient. Most patients can return to work within 1–2 weeks (depending on their individual healing). Gentle exercise is also recommended after 2 weeks, as advised by your surgeon.
